Between Kenwood Towne Centre and The Kenwood Collection, this corner of Sycamore Township is where Cincinnati comes to find something worth giving. A live-edge slab is that kind of find. Straight answers before you buy

What makes a live-edge piece a good gift for someone in Kenwood?

No two slabs match. The grain, the checks, the shape of the bark line, all of it came from one tree, so the gift cannot be duplicated or returned for store credit. A small bench, a cabinet topper, or a finished board from the rack carries a date, a place, and a maker. That is more memorable than anything boxed in a mall.

When can Kenwood shoppers stop in to browse slabs for a project?

Slab browsing runs on shop hours: Tuesday through Thursday from 12:30 to 5:30, Saturday from 9 to 1. Call (513) 581-0361 or stop by; no appointment needed. Weekend gift shoppers from Kenwood do best early Saturday, before the racks thin out. If a specific species matters, a quick call the day before confirms what is on the floor.

What should Kenwood customers know?

Kenwood is a census-designated place in Sycamore Township, Hamilton County, about two and a half square miles of solid retail ground northeast of downtown Cincinnati. Roughly 7,600 residents call it home, with a median household income well above the county norm and more than half the adults holding a bachelor's degree. The draws are commercial: Kenwood Towne Centre anchors a corridor of shops and offices that pulls traffic from Blue Ash, Montgomery, and Madeira. Housing skews established, with many single buyers and older residents alongside young families. Ohio Wood Connection's shop on Emerald Ave sits close enough that a Kenwood errand can end with a slab in the truck bed.

Why Kenwood customers need this work

Kenwood's retail corridor means two things for Ohio Wood Connection: shoppers with a gift in mind and shoppers who want a piece nobody else owns. Wood Slab Sales in Kenwood covers the first, small boards and cabinet toppers that wrap well and live long. Custom Benches in Kenwood and Custom Dining Tables in Kenwood cover the second, sized to the established homes around the shopping district. Wood Selection Help in Kenwood is where both start, especially for a buyer choosing walnut over oak for the first time.

Why choose Ohio Wood Connection for woodworking / custom furniture and live-edge wood slabs in Kenwood?

Ohio Wood Connection keeps a shop just minutes from Kenwood, and it works for the way Kenwood shops. Between Kenwood Towne Centre and The Kenwood Collection, this corner of Sycamore Township is where Cincinnati comes to find something worth giving. A live-edge slab is that kind of find. Every board carries grain nobody can reorder. Walk the racks, ask about the species, and take home a bench, a topper, or a slab that becomes a wedding or housewarming gift with a story attached.

Kenwood shoppers can buy furniture from a mall. They cannot buy this furniture from a mall. Kenwood Towne Centre stock comes from a warehouse somewhere. Ohio Wood Connection's stock comes from a log, cut and dried blocks away on Emerald Ave. The drive is minutes, not an afternoon. The selection changes weekly, and the person at the counter knows why that walnut slab checks the way it does. Bring room measurements, and leave with three or four options. For gift buyers, that difference is the gift.
